Field Trips
Take a break from your regular routine and bring your class to The Powerhouse. They will discover just how fascinating and fun science can be, and the trip will enhance in-class learning. Our STEAM lessons are linked to Colorado and Durango academic standards, and can be modified to meet just about any learning goals.
We welcome any group of school aged kids interested in visiting, and we can organize the occasion to accommodate a small or large group. Please fill out our Field Trip Request Form and contact Hannah Lewis for more information: hannah@powsci.org.
5th Day Programs
5th Day Programs from The Powerhouse help kids without school on Fridays keep on learning. Programs teach lessons from our STEAM Lesson Catalog in Ignacio, Mancos, Dolores, and Pagosa Springs.
We’ll bring a hands-on learning experience to your classroom. The cost is $150/hour plus mileage. Please contact us for more information. We look forward to working with your students!
STEAM Roller Outreach
Bring The Powerhouse to you with a STEAM Roller visit! For $150 per hour, we can bring hands-on learning to you. We have more than 30 standards-based STEAM lessons covering subjects as intriguing as paleontology and mystery substances. Each session includes core concepts such as literacy, data collection, model building, experimental design, and observational skills. Some even foster a “tinker” mindset.
